Some People Fantasise That UK Badgers Are Saved. Seriously.

A lot of badger groups are reposting this as though "THE BADGER IS SAVED!" but where is the date for this end of culling. Groups are falling into the trap of believing political lies over the very obvious and open government lies.

This is the sit back with a shortbread biscuit and cup of tea fantasy text to go with the image:

For years, thousands of badgers were culled, and now that chapter is finally coming to an end.
In the United Kingdom, the government has confirmed that the badger cull will be phased out, marking a major shift in how wildlife is treated and protected.
The cull was originally introduced to control bovine tuberculosis in cattle, but it remained highly controversial for years.
Animal welfare advocates argued that the practice caused unnecessary suffering and did not effectively solve the problem.
The government is now moving toward alternative methods, including improved cattle testing and vaccination strategies.
For years, animal protection groups campaigned to end the cull, calling for more humane and science-based solutions.
Supporters say this decision reflects a growing understanding that wildlife should not be targeted.
Advocates hope this step will lead to stronger protections and a more compassionate approach in the future.
Because wildlife deserves protection, not harm.
end

We have lost an estimated 300,000 badgers to the cull so have gone past the point where populations can recover.

The Labour Government promised to END the badger cull and saying it is being "phased out" is a joke. In some areas cullers could find no badgers so they are allowed to move to another area.

Until it stops the badger faces extinction.
