Human TB Spread by Urban Badgers?

 

The anti fox propaganda has started on Face Book groups -every year at this time (cub season).  Also the anti badger propaganda has started.

"Reports have shown that TB is being spred to people in towns by badgers an its killing pets as well"

No. Bovine TB is not being spread to people in towns and cities in the UK:

"Tuberculosis (TB) cases in England rose by 13.6% in 2024, with 5,490 notifications compared to 4,831 in 2023, marking a continued upward trend following the pandemic. While rates are increasing, the risk to the general population remains low. The rise is linked to global trends, urban density, and social factors."
